Overview

A Big Tech Giant’s internal transport booking platform, iBook, was outdated, complex, and struggling with low employee adoption. With over 30 steps to book a cab, employees often dropped off mid-process or resorted to arranging their own commute—leading to lost time, poor productivity, and operational inefficiencies.

This Big Tech Giant partnered with Motiongrid to completely revamp the experience for mobile, aligning with their need for speed, scale, and ease of use across their global workforce.

 Our Approach

We collaborated closely with the iBook team to understand existing workflows, friction points, and user needs. Our end-to-end process included:

  • UX Research & Heuristic Evaluation of the old system

  • User Flow Restructuring to reduce cognitive load

  • UI Redesign using a clean, accessible visual language

  • Component-based Design System for scalability

  • Cross-platform Development Support for Android & iOS

The Solution

We simplified the booking journey from 30+ steps down to just 5, introduced saved locations, built smart defaults, and applied a modern, scalable UI design tailored for enterprise users.

The redesigned app was intuitive, lightweight, and enabled employees to book rides in under 30 seconds—even during peak hours.

📈 Impact

45% drop in user drop-off rate

65% faster average booking time

Consistent UI across Android & iOS

Increased employee satisfaction & engagement
